I was pleased to have a quick walk around Dovestone Reservoir on Saddleworth Moor near Manchester a couple of weekends ago. It was one of those early spring days when the wind is low, the sun is out and the clouds are moving slowly. The long exposure worked well here to emphasise the reflections in the water, and the slow moving clouds made dream-like.
I took this on a wonderful road/rail trip through the USA in Sept 2015. This was one of the many jaw-dropping vistas we were treated to on that trip.
I came down to the lake from our lodge early in the morning. It was cold. We had had snow the day before and now, as the sun came out, mist was burned off the lake, revealing an old boat house, now a cafe.
The colours in this sulphur lake are just amazing
We went to so many wonderful places and saw such amazing sights, it is hard to pick a favourite image, but this is my favourite today. Take towards the light over Lake Hawea on the drive into Wanaka.
