Along the coast a little from Cape Cornwall, heading south, is Porth Nanven. You can actually drive to it, but walking in is far more satisfying. The beach seems to be all large honed stones and rocks. I used a 3-Stop filter to allow a 2,5 sec exposure to slow the water’s movement.

Holywell
I shot this in June 2014, as I was walking along the South West Coast Path from Newquay to Perranporth. If you are a fan of Poldark, you might recognise the view as it is used for many of the beach scenes.
St Ives Harbour, Night
I took this at the bus station with the best view in the world, about an hour after sunset.
Sunset over Porthmeor
I went back to Porthmeor hoping for a better sunset last night, and I was rewarded. What a great place.
St Ives harbour, after dark.
I had fun shooting on the harbour in St Ives last night.
Porthmeor sunset
I missed a fantastic sunset on the evening before this one, and the sunset on this evening was not fantastic but there was some nice colours over the Island on Porthmeor.
Arial view of St Ives
I was very lucky to have an helicopter flight over St Ives and the surrounding area today. We flew over Cape Cornwall, Land’s End, Mousehole, Penzance and St Michael’s Mount before heading over Hayle and finally St Ives. Shooting out of the helicopter was hard due to the angle but I’m pleased to have captured this image.
Godrevy in the golden hour
This was taken in July 2015. The golden hour was giving some particularly great colours of the lighthouse at Godrevy and the headlands of Gwithian and St Agnes as the sun set. I can’t wait to return in about six weeks time (unless I can work out a way to get down for a few days before then).
