One BODY, One LENS, One FILM SIM – Summer in St Ives

Last year I challenged myself to use just a single camera, a single lens and a single film simulation when I visited London as it was just coming out of lockdown. All the pictures were shot in monochrome which suited the sombre mood of the Capital. In this video I give myself the same challenge but using a colourful film simulation Velvia on a recent summer visit to St Ives in Cornwall. I spent the day walking round the town looking for interesting things to photograph. Watch the video to see how I got on.

How I shoot and edit a theatrical show – The Wedding Singer with Stageworks

In this video I walk through the cameras I used to take shots of this fantastic musical, the settings I use on the cameras, and how I bulk edit a large number of photos quickly. I’ve also included some of the finished images.

The Wedding Singer – Rehearsals

After a couple of difficult years, I’m delighted that the brilliant Stageworks performers are putting on the very funny, and sweet romcom, The Wedding Singer, based in the Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore movie of the same name. A full set of rehearsal images can be found in the link below.

As always I will be selling a USB with all the images from the show and the rehearsals for £20. If you want to order directly please complete the form below. I will be able to send you a unique direct payment link to your phone

Two camera set-ups. The Holdfast MoneyMaker vs. Peak Design Slide and Clip

So I’ve been meaning to make this video for a while. I bought the MoneyMaker dual camera strap system a while ago for weddings and event photography. I love it’s style but less keen on it’s usability. Since I moved to smaller/lighter Fuji mirrorless cameras, I found that using a Peak Design Clip and a Slide strap in combination seems to work fine.

Felixstowe sunrise

I set an early alarm for a drive to the coast last weekend and tried to shoot some new views of the beach at Felixstowe, getting some nice shots of a groyne as the sun rose and some pictures at the pier. Felixstowe continues to offer new photography challenges to me and is nearest coastline to where I live, and I needed a coastal fix.
