At the end of five weeks touring the states we ended up in Bar Harbor, Maine. At the end of the season there were still many tourists walking round this quaint touristy town. We ate heartily at the Thirsty Whale, but I really liked a wall of driver plates stuck up on the side wall of another restaurant on the main drag from the harbour.
The walk up to the lookout point follows wonderfully curved switchbacks. This was taken from the car park before I combusted as the heat of Death Valley didn’t suit my constitution.
My goodness, Death Valley is well named. I don’t think I’ve been in an environment that hot since a summer trip to the UAE. I spent about five minutes in this place and was very pleased to have done so, but I am not rushing to go back to Death Valley.
I was thrilled to be asked to shoot the wedding of my friends, Scott and Rob last weekend.
I had a very pleasant evening chatting to a astral photographer at the rim of Bryce Canyon when the stars were very well and truly out. It is the first time I have captured the Milky Way.
Yosemite is a wonderful place to visit and I was thrilled to see this view of the valley was the sunset.
I realise that I have been very bad in uploading any pictures for a while. Here’s a couple of shots of Penarth Pier, near Cardiff, taken a few weeks ago.
