During August I was lucky enough to spend some time in Cornwall, and used a sunrise shoot to take some wave movement shots. For some I used a long lens, got down low to capture the rising son on the waves, pre-focused and shot at a fast aperture. For another set, I chose a wide lens, set the aperture to half a second and moved the camera as I shot for these evocations of the beach.

This was taken in Zion National Park in Utah.  The sandstone is sculpted by ice, snow, and river into the most fascinating patterns.
At the entrance to the pier at Penarth, South Wales is this lovely floor design. Â Taken from the floor above and with a hard crop, I like the colours, textures and shapes.
I loved the contours and shapes given by this display at the science museum.
I took a trip to the Science Museum to look at a photography exhibition (which is excellent, btw). Â It has some great structures to make images of. Â This is an atomic structure which is suspended overhead.
